Well, hello.

I’m a writer and editor who spent nearly 14 years at Seattle Met magazine and its parent company, SagaCity Media. I enjoy finding the heft and meaning in lighthearted topics, and breaking down the complex subject matter so it’s easy for a reader to grasp its greater significance. This often involves food, but I’m a generalist at heart: I’ve written about everything from transportation to technology, not to mention business, travel, parenting and history. (And edited longform stories on subjects that range from captive orcas to Microsoft’s favorite sentient paper clip.)

My work has won multiple awards over the years, been nominated for two James Beard Awards, and appeared in The Best American Food Writing anthology.
